Fayz, Ghazal 111: "Particle by Particle: God's Light"
ذره ذره نور حق را جلوه گاهی دیگر است
یک بیک بر وحدت ذاتش گواهی دیگر است
Particle by particle, the Real’s Light has another locus of manifestation,
One by one, each bears another testimony to the unity of His Essence.
اهل دل بينند در هر ذره از حق جلوه ای
هر دم ایشانرا برخسارش نگاهی دیگر است
The people of heart behold, in every particle, a manifestation of the Real.
At every moment, they cast yet another gaze upon His radiant Face.
دیده حق بین نه بیند غیر حق در هر چه هست
لاجرم او را بهر جا سجده گاهی دیگر است
The Real-seeing eye beholds nothing but Him in all that is,
Herefore, for it, every place becomes yet another site of prostration.
عاقلان جویند حق را در برون خویشتن
عاشقانرا از درون با دوست راهی دیگر است
The rationalists seek the Real outside themselves,
For lovers, there is another path to the Friend, from within.
مینماید جلوه او در هر چه دارد هستیئی
لیک او را پیش خوبان جلوه گاهی دیگر است
His manifestation appears in everything that has being,
But before the good ones, He shows another locus of manifestation.
آنچه مطلوبست یک چیزست نزد هر که هست
لیک هر کس را بهرچیزی نگاهی دیگر است
That which is sought is one and the same for all that is,
But each person casts upon each thing a different gaze.
عاشقانرا در درون جان زشوقش نالهاست
هر نفس کایشان زنند آن دود آهی دیگر است
In the lovers’ innermost souls, sighs arise from longing for Him,
And every breath they exhale becomes yet another smoke of sigh.
صبر برهجران آن آرام جان باشد گناه
زنده بودن در فراق او گناهی دیگر است
Patience in separation from the soul’s Repose is a sin,
To remain alive in His absence is yet another sin.
نیست کس را غیرظل حق پناهی در جهان
گرچه جاهل را گمان کورا پناهی دیگراست
No one has refuge in this world save in the shadow of the Real,
Though the ignorant imagine they have some other shelter.
گر غنی را از متاع این جهان عز است و جاه
بینوا را روز محشر عزوجاهی دیگراست
If for the rich man, wealth and worldly goods are honor and rank,
For the poor, on the Day of Resurrection, there is another honor and rank.
پادشاه صورت ار دارد سپاه بیکران
از ملک درویش آگه را سپاهی دیگراست
If the king of forms has an endless army,
From the King, the knower dervish holds yet another army.
فیض را یکسو و یک رویست تا باشد نظر
گرچه هر سویش بهر رو قبله گاهی دیگر است
For Fayḍ, there is only one direction and one Face for his gaze,
Though in every direction, each face is another qibla for him.
