Course Description. This course explores different dimensions of philosophy of life: meaning in life, purpose, happiness, suffering, absurdity, spiritual transformation, philosophy as a way of life, mindfulness, trauma, and secular debates about meaning. Moving between Islamic and selected Western perspectives, students examine how human beings search for a life that is meaningful, disciplined, God-oriented, ethically serious, and inwardly transformed. The course invites students to ask not only what life means, but how it should be lived.
