Our series

Persian Mystical Poetry

This series explores a tradition in which philosophy and mysticism find expression through poetry. Each volume focuses on a central theme in a poet’s work, bringing together selected poems, translations, and interpretive commentary.

Volumes typically contain thirty to fifty poems, supported by concise annotations or more detailed, line-by-line readings. The poems are situated within the poet’s wider writings and the historical and spiritual traditions from which they emerge.

We write for scholars and thoughtful general readers alike: accessible language, close attention to the original texts, and conceptual precision. Complete translations of a poet’s works remain within the series’ scope, alongside its principal focus on thematic selections.
